Every Alternative.

ISL G (North America).

Meets U.S.A. EPA and CARB 2010 emissions standards today.

ISL GThe ISL G natural gas engine not only meets 2010 EPA and CARB emissions levels today, it also sets a new benchmark for lower alternative fuel vehicle life cycle costs. In high fuel use applications, the lower alternative fuel costs, improved fuel economy and lower incremental maintenance costs of the ISL G make it possible to save valuable fleet dollars.

For more information on how using natural gas can improve your bottom line, contact your regional Cummins Westport sales representative. For information on tax incentives like the Highway and Energy Bill, please visit our Incentives page.

Note: The ISL G engine replaces the L Gas Plus and C Gas Plus engines in North American markets.

Features

  • Stoichiometric Cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)—Uses high EGR rates in combustion process in place of excess air (Lean Burn) that improves fuel efficiency and creates an oxygen free exhaust allowing for the use of a Three-Way Catalyst
  • Cummins Cooled EGR—lowers in cylinder temperature and reduces oxygen concentration
  • New Electronic Control Module—provides full monitoring and control of engine sensors, fuel system and ignition system
  • Three-Way Catalyst—simple passive device, highly effective hydrocarbon, CO, and NOx control with no exhaust system related maintenance costs
  • Low installed weight—highest power to weight ratio in its class
  • Improved clutch engagement torque
  • LNG, CNG, or Biomethane capable
  • Meets EPA and CARB 2010 emissions standards
  • Meets EEV
